Any chance that the Mandarin played by Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3 is not the bad guy?
And we mean the bad guy.
That's what James Badge Dale, Eric Savin in the movie, seems to suggest in a recent interview with Showbiz411.com.
Ben Kingsley is the mouthpiece. Guy Pearce is the brain. I’m the muscle.
Guy Pearce is set to play Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3, in the comics responsible for creating the Extremis Virus with Maya Hansen (played by Rebecca Hall) and handing it over to terrorists i.e. the Mandarin.
James Badge Dale, by his choice of words, almost makes it out that the Mandarin isn't the alpha dog, that he's just some puppet.
Of course, it could be that, just the use of the word. Right?
Also by stating he's the muscle, we can speculate that Eric Savin will go on to become the cyborg known as Cold Blood, because how could he be the "muscle" against Iron Man if he's just a "simple" man? Is there still a chance that he could be the Iron Patriot?
Obviously there's a lot to read into that statement, which really could be read a lot of different ways.
Still, the Mandarin not being the bad guy and the Mandarin not having Asian qualities...coincidence?
Iron Man 3 blasts off May 3rd, 2013 directed by Shane Black and starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
