For fans of James Rhodes left wondering where War Machine was during The Avengers movie, we now find out exactly what happened.
Turns out War Machine was battling it out with some bad guys in Asia.
The Iron Man 3 prelude comic book was released today where we see Tony Stark calling his buddy for assistance to fight against Loki's invading army; however, War Machine was on the other side of the world and it would have taken him too long to fly over.
We can assume that since this is an Iron Man 3 prelude and that Rhodey was in Asia that it might have something to do with the Mandarin and the upcoming movie.
